Registering and logging in
To take advantage of the full set of TKI features you will need to register and log in. Logging in allows you to better personalise your experience by saving custom homepage layouts, creating personal kete, and saving bookmarks and searches.
TKI uses the New Zealand Education Sector Logon system for user accounts - if you already have an Education Sector Logon then you are ready to log in right away.
You can register for an Education Sector Logon by clicking Register from the top right of any TKI page.
The registration process takes you to the (orange) Education Sector Logon website. You will need to fill in the registration form and follow through their process.
Once you have successfully registered for an Education Sector Logon, you can log in to TKI from the top right of any page.
Clicking Log in will take you to the (orange) Education Sector Logon website, where you need to enter your username and password and click Logon.
If your details are successfully verified you will be redirected back to TKI, and will now be logged in. You should see your username at the top right, instead of the Log in link.
Your browser may present a security warning while you are being redirected back to TKI. You can safely dismiss this warning.
If you need help with logging in you should contact the Ministry of Education Contact Centre on 0800 422 599 or email email@example.com.
What are the benefits of registering for a TKI account?
Why does TKI use the Education Sector Logon?
The Education Sector Logon system allows New Zealand educators to access multiple online services with a single account. For users who use many education sector services, this single set of credentials greatly simplifies their access.
How do I reset my password?
You can reset your Education Sector password here. Note that Education Sector Logon issues are handled by the Ministry of Education Contact Centre. You can contact them for support on 0800 422 599 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
