Haka- Speaking with every move

This exhibition captures such moments through images of the 1905 All Blacks performing haka before a test against England; the Māori Battalion in Egypt; shots of haka from the modern All Blacks and the winning 2011 Matatini kapa haka team in full flight.

Te Manawa Pou is a free online Professional Learning and Development [PLD] programme for te reo Māori teachers from English-medium primary schools (Year 1–8). It is designed particularly (yet not exclusively) for teachers based in rural areas, or for teachers who may be the only teacher of te reo Māori in their school and thus may benefit from making connections with others.

This notice serves to draw attention to a one-day colloquium that will be held at the College of Education, University of Canterbury, on 2 March next year. Not far away really. New Zealand Spelling Bee Final

Sixteen Year Nine finalists will compete in the nerve-racking final of the NZ Vegemite Spelling Bee, being held at its new venue, Circa Theatre. The winning student gets a trip to Washington DC along with one other person to compete in the Olympics of Spelling, the Scripps National Spelling Bee, which attracts 11 million hopefuls in the heats annually.
