Business Education Resources

The new Business.govt.nz education section has teaching resources for business and enterprise educators.

Resources place an emphasis on discussion, the real-world application of business concepts, and encouraging students to put theory into practice to bring the subject alive.

Each lesson includes a topic handout, presentation, ready-made lesson plan for teachers, and a student worksheet containing tasks and questions.

In the last newsletter we reported on the successful launch of this  website. We now have useful statistical feedback data from Google Analytics on site access. The first site visit occurred on December 7, 2011, and the information provided below runs through to February 2, 2012.

NZTA Curriculum resources

NZ Transport Agency has developed teaching and learning resources for 7 learning areas especially Health and physical education, English, and Mathematics and statistics.
They are closely aligned to the New Zealand Curriculum and include rail safety, cycle safety, passenger safety, travelling to a big event, and Feet First - Walk to School Every Week resources.

Update on e-asTTle training and support

e-asTTle seminars are free to schools in 2012. The schedule for Term 1 is now available.

If you are interested in attending, please email e-asttle@evaluate.co.nz. Please include email addresses and phone numbers for up to two people from your school who would like to attend.

Dates and venues will be confirmed as soon as possible. Information will be updated regularly in the Training and Support section of the e-asTTle website, and in the news section of Assessment Online.

Individual support is also available for those schools already using e-asTTle. It is flexible to needs, and may include phone or Skype conversations, e-mail or in-school support. Please email with a request for assistance.
