Teaching and School Practices Survey Tool

30/5/2017

NZCER was commissioned by the Ministry of Education to develop a new online survey tool to provide robust information for school-based inquiry into teaching and school practices, and principal leadership.

The tool is free and involves the principal and teachers completing a quick online survey

The tool is open for use in Terms 2 and 3 each year. It takes teachers around 15 to 20 minutes and principals around 10 to 15 minutes.

An instant set of reports is available to use in reviewing and planning.

Participation is voluntary, and confidential. No individual teachers can be identified.

Words relating to all areas of the Ngā Toi curriculum have now been uploaded to the Paekupu website.

Paekupu was launched in 2016. It will contain the dictionaries related to the learning areas of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.

Over the next couple of years dictionaries relating to other curriculum areas will be added starting with Te Reo Pāngarau later this year, Te Reo Matatini, and Te Reo Pūtaiao in 2018.

The long term goal is to include all the learning areas of the curriculum.
