Technology Online: Snapshots for Digital Technologies levels 6–8


Technology Online has snapshots for computational thinking, and designing and developing digital technologies:

Computational thinking: Progress outcomes, exemplars, and snapshots

Designing and developing digital outcomes: Progress outcomes, exemplars, and snapshots

The snapshots illustrate the progress outcomes that span years 11–13 by highlighting aspects of students' expertise at that point on the learning progression.

Teaching Strategies that work - Mathematics


This 2018 Education Review Office (ERO) report is one of a series of reports on teaching strategies that work.

It features strategies and approaches that ERO observed in 40 primary schools selected from across New Zealand. 

The report includes both long-term and short-term strategies to improve mathematics learning and achievement.

Grow Your Own: edible garden competition; teaching and learning resource


Soil, Food and Society is launching Grow Your Own, an edible garden competition for primary and intermediate schools, enviro' groups, and agricultural clubs.

National Monitoring Study of Student Achievement - vacancies for teacher assessors


Applications are NOW OPEN for Teacher Assessors with a focus on Mathematics and Statistics, and/or Social Studies to administer assessments in Social Studies and Maths to Year 4 and Year 8 students for the National Monitoring Study of Student Achievement (NMSSA) in Term 3 2018.
