Smokefree Pacifica Beats – Regionals
1 May 2008 – 9 August 2008
Different locations throughout Aotearoa
Smokefree Pacifica Beats is open for entry to anyone in Aotearoa who is attending ‘school’ for at least 16 hours a week and who is no older than 19 years of age on 30 May, 2008. Entries for Smokefree Pacifica Beats are NOW OPEN! Packs have been sent out to every secondary school and kura kaupapa in Aotearoa – hassle your music teacher for more information! Entries officially close on Friday 30 May. The regional events begin in Tūranga – nui – a – Kiwa(Gisborne) on Sat 14 June and finish down in Porirua on Sat 9 August, we’ll be updating the site with more information around the shows over the next couple of weeks; venues, ticket prices, show times etc…. stay tuned for updates!

Wellington Girls’ College, Pipitea St, Thorndon, Wellington.
The New Zealand Association of Language Teachers' conference. There will be language specific sections for teachers of Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, Spanish and Samoan. Sessions specific to the needs of teachers of languages in Years 7 and 8 will be offered, as well as sessions for those involved in Te Reo Maori. A first in 2008.

John Marsden, Australian author and illustrator.
