The Te Kete Ipurangi Team
Te Kete Ipurangi is being developed by a diverse and enthusiastic team drawn from the education and information technologies sectors. The team includes a site manager, cyberlibrarian, professional managers, online editors, information co-ordinators, web developers, designers, and programmers.
The Learning Centre Trust
The Ministry of Education has appointed The Learning Centre Trust to develop and manage this initiative.
The Trust is committed to the ongoing development and expansion of a quality education portal that can take advantage of the emerging technologies of the Internet to respond to the needs and interests of the beneficiaries of the Trust - the schools of New Zealand.
Consultation
A wide range of people and organisations are contributing to the development of Te Kete Ipurangi. Contributing to the consultation process are TKI's advisory groups; Schools and Māori Education, those participating in TKI's quality assurance processes, including content evaluation and moderation, site reviewers, teachers, principals, those working in the Māori medium, school librarians, ICT specialists, subject specialists and associations, and education sector contributors.
