What's on the TKI homepage?

The standard navigation bar sits across the top, as it does with all TKI pages.

Main features of the homepage

The homepage on TKI is arranged into three sections.

The main section includes links to the following:

TKI Communities

The TKI communities. These represent the seven essential learning areas, as well as Māori education and a number of Ministry of Education initiatives. Each community has a news page with community notices and events, and links to curriculum-related teaching material.

Governing and Managing

The governing and managing New Zealand schools community. This has resources for school principals and boards of trustees including tools for implementing the National Education Guidelines.

ICT

The ICT community. This collects a host of material to support the use of ICT in teaching and learning.

TKI Search

The search engine. Search for resources and websites relevant to your needs. All materials on the site have been assessed by the TKI professional team.

Hot Topic

The latest Hot Topic. Each Hot Topic provides a brief outline of a current issue, and a collection of related websites. Hot Topics are published fortnightly.

NCEA

NCEA. TKI houses the internal assessment resources for the National Certificate of Education Achievement.

The News section of the page highlights the latest TKI news.

The navigation section on the right of the page includes a link to On TKI, which features:

Other reference sites are listed lower in the right-hand column, such as links to the Ministry of Education, the New Zealand Education Gazette, TeachNZ, and the School Daily.
