| What is the purpose of this site and who are the potential users? | To promote Wellington Regional Council (WRC) objectives: awareness and care of environment. Interactive use and research for year 7/8 students. |

did you use the site in the context of New Zealand education? ( 60 words or less ) |
I used a teacher's guide as part of a Social Studies unit focussed on the Place and Environment strand. A student group investigated the site and presented their findings to other groups in the class. They looked at the use of the greater Wellington region as a group of connected water catchment areas to supply people living in the city. |

Many diagrammatic visuals with handy links make the content appealing, being clear and concise and providing for plenty of information processing. The site is easily navigated with clear instructions for inexperienced users. It includes diagrams with direct links to simply and clearly described activities for students. It has some references to the value of water to the Māori. |
