Second NZ Community Circus Convention – Education
The second Community Circus Convention is to be held in Dargaville from 5–7 September 2008. The vision for this year is to promote the benefits of the circus arts in the development of young people. Circus arts can help develop physical dexterity, motor skills and increase self esteem, confidence, and interpersonal skills. There will be plenty of on-site entertainment including variety shows and much more besides.

NCEA on TKI: Updates and changes to Physical Education internal resources
The resource PhysEd/1/4_A5 (Here's looking at you) has been removed.
PhysEd/3/5_F1, PhysEd/1/2 A6 and B6, PhysEd/2/1, PhysEd/2/4, PhysEd/3/6 have been updated on the Physical Education page and on the NCEA Just Up page.
The performance standards document for level 3 has been updated and now contains 134 pages of examples to support the assessment of achievement standard 90742 Phys/Ed/3/4.

e-Learning Teacher Fellowships 2009
Applications for the e-Learning Teacher Fellowships for 2009 are now open. Up to 10 classroom teachers and early childhood educators using e-learning in innovative ways will be selected. The theme for the projects in 2009 is literacy. Guidelines and the application forms are on the website. Applications are due 15 September 2008.
