This resource is a set of programme guideline materials for teachers of English language learners from beginner to advanced phases of learning. It contains four stages of materials from beginning to advanced English. Each stage has a set of annotated texts that explain the text structures and language teaching features of texts related to a range of curriculum areas. It provides a very clear set of language learning outcomes for each stage with suggested teaching strategies and grammar teaching points and an exciting selection of sample teaching strategies.

consistency in recording the progress of English language learners.
provide information about a range of assessment tools and processes that are used in New Zealand schools;
