Picture Matching

How to Use Picture Matching
Create a series of clear diagrams that illustrate central concepts of the unit of work and give a copy of the diagrams to each student. Write one sentence that describes each diagram simply. Mix the sentences up and number them. As each sentence is read out the students write the number of the sentence next to the diagram it describes. Each sentence is read out twice.

Benefits of Picture Matching
The students develop their listening skills. The students build on their understanding of mathematical concepts and mathematical language.
