Genetically Modified Foods

Picture Gene Matching Task

Students work in pairs to match pictures. They must not look at each other's picture. Learner A has one of the pictures only. Learner B has the set of four pictures. B asks A questions to try to decide which picture A has, or A describes his picture and B tries to choose which one is being described.

Use this activity to link to prior knowledge on genes or genetically modified foods. As students complete activity ask questions like:
"What do you think these pictures are?"
"What do you already know about this?"
