Unit Three : Extension Activities - Music
Introducing the Work of Three Different Artists

If you enjoyed working on Unit 3 activities you may like to try out more ideas:

1. Compose your own Pentatonic Piece

Follow these steps to help you compose your own piece.

a. Use the same steps as Activity 7 but begin by clicking on PLACE CHORD, not 12 BAR BLUES.

b. Go to MELODY and continue as Activity 7.

c. Change a chord by clicking on it once - it will change colour slightly. Select a new chord at the top left of the screen. Remember that D minor is always the first chord and you can't change that.

d. Change the TEMPO using the metronome at the bottom of the score sheet. Select the speed you like the best for your piece.

e. Experiment with RESTS.
