Activities
1. Compose own photgraphic images and use for developing three freeze frames
Go to activities for Fiona and Michael.
Revise your experiences on how to compose a photographic image and on creating freeze frames.
Think of an idea you could use which crosses over visual art with drama.
Begin with the Art Activity and make three photographic images, as if each had been taken at thirty second intervals.
Explore what each character is thinking, feeling or saying.
Print.
Go to Activities for Patricia and choose Option 3 "Start your story from scratch".
Write what each character is thinking, feeling or saying based on your three pictures.
Print.
Arrange in sequence on a separate page with the image then the freeze frame text beneath.
2. Use words from stories to make into song lyrics
Go to Patricia Grace's section and locate the quote "If I was someone else, I'd write about something else. You write what you know."
What other advice does she give about writing?
Go to Maree and locate the quote "Anything that motivates me, that makes me feel something is worth writing down."
What else does Maree say about the songwriting process?
Use both Patricia and Maree's advice on how to write your own words which express something you really want to write about.
For instance locate a relaxed environment and start with key words or topics.
Now begin filling these out as possible song lyrics. Using Patricia's Activities Option 3 "Start your story from scratch", type up your song lyrics and print out a copy.
3. Retell a story using dance
Go to Patricia Grace's section and select PROCESS.
