Unit Six : Creative Explorer - The Interdisciplinary Arts
Introduction
In this unit you will learn how Creative Explorer can assist in learning experiences that cross over the arts disciplines so that each can support or enhance another. Sometimes more than two arts disciplines can work in collaboration and occasionally all four can work together to achieve a new and exciting holistic event.

Communication:

- Prepare, rehearse, present and evaluate an event using the performing arts - dance, drama and music
- Investigate the functions of dance, drama, music and visual art in past and present cultures.

Students will:
- Compose photographic images and use for developing a sequence of freeze frames
- Use word ideas from stories to make into song lyrics
- Retell a story using dance
- Invent a music soundtrack for a drama sequence
- Invent a music soundtrack for your own choreographed dance sequence
- Make a composed picture inspired by a song
- Continue making more frames of a storyboard based on your film sequence
- Develop ideas in a project that combines three disciplines
- Develop ideas in a project that combines four disciplines
- Make a folder or a notebook for ideas about ways the different arts disciplines cross over and work successfully together.
