Take your keywords and write a brief summary that show how well you understand the notion that works of art reflect the artist's own heritage.
Using similar headings make a list of keywords that might apply to yourself. For example:
How do you get ideas?
What themes feature frequently in your creative moments?
What influences were present during you early years?
What political issues do you feel strongly about?
Using any of the arts disciplines how might you create a work that expresses those things? Plan it in your notebook.
2. Project
Make a brainstorm of different art forms eg jewellery, painting, sculpture and weaving. Use your brainstorm to identify artists in your local community. Interview an artist to find out about them, considering: background, inspiration, interests, focus, successes, career path, skills, techniques, technical aspects, process, examples of work, or combinations of these.
Present your findings as an advertisement to promote your artist and remember to share your work with your artist.
