1. Your school

Focus on the bi-cultural/multi-cultural aspects at your school. In particular look for ways your school demonstrates inclusiveness and diversity in its arts curriculum.

• Is there a Māori performing arts group?
• Do the students get involved in Māori and Pacific Island music?
• Is there a variety of cultural dance opportunities for the students?
• What objects and images of Māori and Pacific Island culture are seen in and around the school environment?
• Do students have opportunities to learn about the art forms of other cultures represented by minority groups at the school?
• What signs are evident at whole school assemblies that many cultures are represented at your school?
• Is there something you can do to improve cultural interaction among staff and students?
