Dancemakers shows the work of six New Zealand contemporary dance choreographers who were commissioned by Footnote Dance to create new dance works for Footnote's 2005 season. The DVD shows the process each choreographer follows to develop a dance and the resulting performance.
Footnote Dance is a Wellington-based contemporary dance company, founded in 1985 by Deirdre Tarrant. The company tours New Zealand regularly, both performing and taking workshops for young dancers and school groups.
