A performing arts block contains a music suite and a dance/drama studio. The complex opens onto a courtyard with an outdoor stage that backs onto the school hall.
Music room.The music suite is centred round a large music room. Entrance is via two sets of double doors. A staff office opens into the room and is also accessible from outside. Storage rooms have bi-fold double doors directly into the music room.
Keyboard room.An adjacent keyboard room has double doors for moving equipment and is glazed above desk height.
Practice rooms with insulated doors are accessed from a corridor behind the music room. A heavy curtain has been hung on the wall of the music room to help prevent sound transmission.
Dance/drama studio.The dance/drama studio is adjacent, separated from the music suite by folding doors that can be opened to create a venue for small performances. Heavy curtaining has been added to the folding doors to enhance sound insulation and improve acoustics in the studio.
Dance/drama studio.The dance studio has a sprung timber floor, and is also used for a range of extracurricular activities. Two storage rooms with bi-fold double doors open into the studio. Opening windows provide cross-ventilation and the room has independently controlled wall heaters.
