Jack Gray

Jack Gray, of Ngāti Porou and Ngā Puhi, was raised in Auckland and studied dance at the UNITEC Institute of Technology. Jack formed a contemporary Māori dance group called Atamira and is interested in expressing Māori issues and ideas through contemporary dance.

The Whāngārā-mai-tawhiti kapa haka group of 40 performers, aged from 19 years to over 45 years, take their name from Whāngārā, on the East Coast.
