Teachers share innovative ideas and fresh approaches to teaching visual arts to year 7–13 students in New Zealand schools. For each of the learning module examples, there is a gallery of student work, an explanation of the teaching and learning processes and an explanation of how the module relates to the art curriculum strands and objectives.

Student artworks from schools have been on show in the foyer of the 10th Floor, Vogel Building, one of the Ministry's head office buildings. Judy Matthew, who initiated the displays, wants more schools to participate and more people to be able to see the student artwork that Ministry staff have enjoyed. So has set up this online gallery.
