The task
The teacher gave the students some sets of fractions and asked them to put each set in order from smallest to largest. One was a set of unit fractions ( , , , , ), another a set of fractions with a common denominator ( , , , , ), and another a mixed set of fractions ( , , , , , ). If the students could rank all three sets correctly, the teacher gave them a set of percentages and decimals to include in the range (30%, 0.5, 0.6, 75%).
Api's work shows that he is able to:
- rank fractions with mixed numerators and denominators;
- identify equivalent fractions.
