The task
The teacher provided the students with numerical data for the time (to the nearest second) it takes a class of students to run 100 metres. He set the task: "Make a display showing how fast the students in this class can run."
Yvonne's and Justine's shared work shows that they are able to:
- produce a tally chart with the data sorted into groups
- record the number in each group clearly and appropriately.
Zac's work shows that he is able to:
- produce a bar graph with:
- a title
- axes, drawn to an appropriate scale and labelled
- accurately and clearly plotted data.
