The task

The teacher provided the students with numerical data for the time (to the nearest second) it takes a class of students to run 100 metres. He set the task: "Make a display showing how fast the students in this class can run."

  • produce a tally chart with the data sorted into groups
  • record the number in each group clearly and appropriately.
