in March 2004 by Cathye Haddock addresses safety requirements in
EOTC activities. This presentation was used to speak to a number

From Liability to Student Safety in EOTC
This presentation to the Australia and New Zealand Education Law
Association in September 2004 by Cathye Haddock and Matthew Sword
addresses the liability for New Zealand schools during an EOTC experience,
explores the myths and facts about liability, and how liability
for an EOTC incident can arise under New Zealand law. The paper
tracks a change in focus from liability to student safety in EOTC.

Temporary traffic management resource
If your school is organising an event which will, or may, impinge
on road users, you may need to submit a Temporary Traffic Management
Plan to your local district/city/regional council for approval.
Some councils have adopted the Transit New Zealand Code of Practice
for Temporary Traffic Management for activities on or near the road.
