NCEA music for gifted and talented students
This paper, by Chris Archer, addresses the issue of identifying gifted and talented students, and provides ideas and activities for differentiating the learning for gifted and talented students in music. The ideas and activities are grouped under key aspects of music learning and are related to NCEA levels 1-4 achievement standards.

Integrating the Arts into the Curriculum for Gifted Students
This ERIC digest discusses the arts as an essential feature of gifted education. NGA Kids: The Arts Zone
This section of the National Gallery of Art website provides a selection of interactives for students to create their own art online. Includes a jungle landscape interactive inspired by the work of French artist Henri Rousseau, collage, drawing and painting activities, sculpting a cube block, creating a three dimensional mobile or a twirler, and creating symmetrical wallpaper designs. Out of School Provisions for Gifted and Talented Students
This resource was compiled from a research project led by Dr Tracy Riley from Massey University, and contains lists of competitions, activities, and programmes suitable for gifted students at all levels. The programmes featured cover a range of talents and interests, and are both local and regional. The resource is supported by an article by Dr Riley with guidelines for selecting appropriate programmes or activities. See link below for pdf.
