Identifying Gifted Pupils - Design and Technology
This site provides information on how to identify students who are gifted in the curriculum area of technology. There are subsections on inclusion issues, teaching gifted students, examples of units of work, activities beyond the classroom, resources, and monitoring and evaluation.

Kids Design Network
This site is designed to help teachers nurture students' problem solving skills. Students are given engineering challenges to solve. The emphasis is on collaborative problem solving of technological challenges. Students are encouraged to talk with each other, their teachers, and the on-line engineer to help design and modify inventions.

Out of School Provisions for Gifted and Talented Students
This resource was compiled from a research project led by Dr Tracy Riley from Massey University, and contains lists of competitions, activities, and programmes suitable for gifted students at all levels. The programmes featured cover a range of talents and interests, and are both local and regional. The resource is supported by an article by Dr Riley with guidelines for selecting appropriate programmes or activities. See link below for pdf.
