The following is an extract from New Zealand Gazette, 13/12/2001, No. 170, p. 4172. Pursuant to section 60A of the Education Act 1989 (incorporating all amendments), the Minister of Education hereby publishes the national curriculum statement known as Health and Physical Education in the New Zealand Curriculum. Copies of the statement can be obtained from Learning Media, PO Box 3293, Wellington, and/or from Te Kete Ipurangi or the Ministry of Education websites. State and integrated schools are to provide learning and teaching programmes based on the national curriculum statement Health and Physical Education in the New Zealand Curriculum for all students in years 1-10 from the date of publication of this notice. Dated at Wellington this 8th day of December 2001.
