that teachers view all websites we link to before using them with students.
How to plan for jobs that don’t even exist yet
Listen to a speech about education, the job market or information technology
and you’re sure to hear quoted in some form, "More than 80%
of the jobs today’s students will apply for, haven’t been
invented yet."
Even though we don’t know what the jobs will be, many of the sites
included in this week’s Hot Topics do give students an idea of the
skills that will be needed for the 21st Century. They also
provide practical advice and resources to help them prepare for a job
market that to us will be unrecognisable.

Research a career
Students could choose a job they are interested in from Seek
and then use the following links to find out what training and qualifications
are required. With this information they could write a basic job description
and present a personal plan detailing how they would go about developing
the necessary skills and/or experience.
