  Jobs in the 21st century

Please note: These links were valid when this page was posted. However the Web is very volatile, and TKI has no control over outside websites. Please let us know if you find a broken link or if you have an update for a link. Te Kete Ipurangi recommends that teachers view all websites we link to before using them with students.

How to plan for jobs that don’t even exist yet

Listen to a speech about education, the job market or information technology and you’re sure to hear quoted in some form, "More than 80% of the jobs today’s students will apply for, haven’t been invented yet."

Even though we don’t know what the jobs will be, many of the sites included in this week’s Hot Topics do give students an idea of the skills that will be needed for the 21st Century. They also provide practical advice and resources to help them prepare for a job market that to us will be unrecognisable.
