your name, MOE school number, and school name. Help is available with issues ranging
from ICT policy advice through to technical support. The service is free to schools.

10 April 2007 – Microsoft's Schools
Agreement FAQs
This information sheet provides questions and answers about the
licensing agreement with Microsoft New Zealand to provide all state
and state-integrated schools with selected Microsoft software for
a three year term commencing January 01 2007.
31 March 2007 – Stage 2 of the School Network Upgrade Project
Stage 1 of the School Network Upgrade project has now been completed successfully. Around 330 small schools have had a school-wide network installed since the project began in September 2005.
The Ministry of Education has received further funding to commence Stage 2. Schools in this round have rolls between 130 and 260 and have little or no network infrastructure. The expectation is to assist around 70 schools to upgrade their networks.
This initiative will help teachers and students in these schools have a reliable and stable network. This is required to support the widening range of ICT initiatives in the classroom and administration area.

June 2005 – Enrolment Management System Project
The Ministry of Education is developing an electronic enrolment management
system for intermediate and secondary schools to use via the web.
This system will enable authorised users to update student records
as students enrol, transfer schools, or leave the school system. It
will improve communication and the transfer of information between
schools when students transfer from one school to another, as well
as reduce the time taken to identify and respond to non-enrolled students.
