The Computer Access NZ Trust (CANZ) has published a ninth edition of its 'CANZ Resource DVD'.

The Resource DVD’s 212 separate computer programs include 25 all-new titles, which range from small and simple to large and sophisticated. As well as specialist education programs, there are up-to-date versions of many Internet, sound, graphics, and utility programs.

Some of the programs are featured on TKI’s Software for Learning site. Links on the DVD take users to these web pages, which include teacher support material, screen shots, and examples of how students are using the software in their learning.

The CANZ Resource DVD includes ‘offline’ versions of the CANZ website, and case studies of many schools using CANZ refurbished computers.

It also contains a PDF version of ‘e-Waste in New Zealand’, a major report and recommendations published by CANZ in July and funded by the Ministry for the Environment.
One copy of the DVD will go to all schools with the 9 October edition of the New Zealand Education Gazette. Additional copies are available free to teachers and schools from the CANZ office (info@canz.org.nz or phone 04 472 5518).
