Publisher: eWord Development
Supplier: EdSoft
Format: CD-ROM

A group of software products that provide child-friendly access to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to support younger learners in using technology skills across the curriculum.

Max's Toolbox provides learners with an easy-to-use version of Microsoft Office to support pre-reading, language, mathematics, and information communication technology (ICT) skills. For instance, MaxWrite (Word) has child-friendly icons and tools like Doodle Pad and Insert Picture; MaxCount (Excel) has eye-catching charts and graphs for the skills of sorting and grouping; and MaxShow (PowerPoint) has a text-to-speech function that allows children to present to non-reading friends.

The programs suit learners of all capabilities, from those who are prewriting, to those who are gifted and talented, and those with special needs.

For more information see Max's Toolbox. Go to the 'Downloads' page to download free trial version.
