Curriculum Integration often involves students in solving problems associated with an issue or a topic. The following graphic organisers are designed to assist students to use problem solving in the context of their learning. Teachers can follow the link to the resource then print off a copy of the graphic organiser and photocopy it for all the students in their classroom.
Consequences This graphic organiser can be used by students to record two possible solutions to a problem or issue and then to record the consequences that would arise if either of the solutions were to be implemented.
I think this is a problem This graphic organiser can be used by students in the junior school to draw a picture of something that they think is a problem
Sequence of events This graphic organiser can be used by students to record the sequence of events that are passed through as a problem is solved.
Cause of a problem This graphic organiser asks students to identify up to four possible causes for a problem or issue. Evaluating solutions This graphic organiser can be used
by students to record criteria that they will use to evaluate a
range of solutions to a problem. It is also used to record the evaluations
that they make.
