Learning Languages Funding Pool 2006–2007

New structure of the Funding Pool

Two types of funding have been created in order to meet the aims of the Learning Languages Funding Pool:

1. Access Funding for schools with no languages programme as yet.
2. Sustainable Languages Funding for schools with existing languages programmes.

Each type of funding will be made available for two calendar years (2006–07).

2006–2007 Milestone 4 report template

For the 2006–2007 funding pool milestone report, download and complete the Milestone 4 template (Word 59KB), and email it to Sheryl Langley, Acting Projects Officer, Sheryl.Langley@minedu.govt.nz, (04) 463 8049, by 15 December 2007.

Future of the Learning Languages Funding Pool

In response to evaluations and feedback, the Learning Languages Contestable Funding Pool has been discontinued.

As a consequence, there will not be an application round in 2007.

The budget assigned to the contestable pool will be redirected into other language initiatives and support.

Schools/clusters with funding from the 2006–2007 contestable funding pool will complete their contracts as expected.
