Online version of Learning Languages: A Guide for New Zealand Schools

This online publication is based on the printed version of Learning Languages: A Guide for New Zealand Schools, which was originally published by Learning Media Limited for the New Zealand Ministry of Education in 2002.

Learning Languages: A Guide for New Zealand Schools provides schools and teachers with information to support the introduction, delivery, and enhancement of languages programmes. It was published in response to the growing awareness that learning other languages contributes to the cognitive, intellectual, and social development of the students. In a broader sense, learning languages extends international relations and increases opportunities to trade on a global scale.
