Literacy Development Officers at work
Literacy Development Officers (LDOs) are based in Ministry of Education regional and local offices throughout New Zealand. LDOs are available to assist school leaders with year 1–8 students. Time is prioritised on a needs basis.

The examples in Project snapshots includes literacy leadership group 'snapshots' of what school leaders think about the LDO initiative and how it has benefited literacy development in their schools.
