Welcome to this collection of teachers’ and students’ materials to support the teaching of Māori as a second language to students in English-medium schools.
These resources are designed to support each of the eight levels of the draft Te Reo Māori Curriculum.
The resources are intended as a guide for teachers who will use the draft curriculum in their teaching programmes.
Each lesson plan contains achievement objectives, learning outcomes, links to reference material, suggested activities and copymasters suitable for overhead project transparencies or as handouts.
Use the right-hand navigation to select the curriculum level your students are working at. An index menu will list up to 15 lesson plans on various topics for you to choose from to use with your class.
