Junior Journal
Junior Journal 32 and 33 audio CD
Judith McKinnon's story 'The Dog Who Chased Lightning' (JJ 32), Elizabeth Pulford's poem 'The Wind Hound' (JJ 32), and the article 'My Grandma is an Author' by Mitchell Rattenbury and Dot Meharry (JJ 33) each provide a good model of a child reading aloud. 'The Wind Hound' is also full of atmospheric music that captures the howling of the wind.
Alan Bagnall's 'The Snowman' (JJ 32) and 'Ten Waka for Christmas' (JJ 33) are both great stories for listening to.
Jane Buxton's humorous verse 'Down on the Farm' (JJ 33) has been turned into a silly audio treat, with lots of farm animal noises, country music, and sloppy animal kisses.
