This audio CD offers students the opportunity to listen to or read along with stories in Cook Islands Māori, Niue, Sāmoan, Tokelauan, and Tongan. Each story is read in the Pasifika language in which it was first written and in English. The five titles are:

These stories will help students to engage with and enjoy spoken language and understand, respond to, and use oral language effectively in a range of contexts. Listening to these recordings will help build confidence and fluency. Taumāta'u is read fluently, in Tongan and in English, by a child. The readers of the other four stories are all adult native speakers.

This issue of the Sāmoan-language magazine for secondary students includes an article about extreme athlete Nathan Fa'avae, stories, an interview with upcoming rap artist Flowz, a review on Savage's first solo CD, and two poems written by young people. This resource, which supports teaching of gagana Sāmoa, is supported by teachers' notes (item 10993).
