Readalong 2006
The latest Ready to Read audio CD, entitled Readalong 2006, contains recordings of the following books:

- Inside the Maize Maze by Sharon Holt
- Duckling Palace by Philippa Werry
These books are suitable for Magenta to Gold levels, and were published in late 2004 and in 2005.
The stories read by children (My Sister, The School Band, Inside the Maize Maze, and Duckling Palace) provide models for classroom reading.
Well-known actor Peter Vere-Jones reads The King's Birthday in a similar style to his reading of The Hole in the King's Sock on Readalong 2002.
An actor with a repertoire of funny voices reads all the parts in The Ant and the Grasshoppers and sings some of the grasshoppers' lines. A Good Idea includes melody lines for each animal.
Teachers may copy this CD for educational purposes.
Distribution
In February, one copy of this CD was distributed to each primary school. Item 31271.
Track numbering error
T-shirts has been recorded in two versions. The spoken one is followed by a sung version. An error occurs on the CD slick (printed cover) with these tracks. The second track on the CD is the sung version of T-shirts, but the track listing on the slick indicates My Sister as 'track 2'. This should read as 'track 3'. Learning Media apologises for any confusion caused by the track numbering on this CD.
