Tāiki E!
Kei te whakatā a Kete Kīwei. I a ia e hāereere ana ka kite ia i ngā parahanga me ngā rāpihi mōrikarika i ngā wāhi tūnga, i ngā wāhi pikiniki, i te taha o ā tātou huarahi, awa, roto, me te tahatai. Ki te kore tātou e tiaki i te taiao ka aha rā?
Tāiki E! is a take-home magazine for seven- to ten-year-old learners of te reo Māori. The main topic for this issue is conservation and recycling. As a nation, we generate tonnes of waste material per year, most of which can be recycled. Papa-tū-ā-nuku is littered with our garbage. We need to make sure that we look after her for future generations to enjoy. Now is a good time to start. The activity pages show some of the ways in which we can do this and challenge the readers to try and solve various puzzles. Students' artwork and letters are also featured.
