The New Zealand Curriculum

Te Marautanga o Aotearoa

This draft discussion document will consist of a national framework and sections for the different learning areas, each including an essence statement of what is unique to that area and a compact set of whainga paetae (achievement objectives). Te Reo Māori in the New Zealand Curriculum: Draft for Consultation 2007

This curriculum document will be designed to help teachers to plan and deliver flexible Māori language programmes in English-medium schools, at eight achievement levels. The curriculum, which includes suggested learning contexts, aims to suit the varied needs and interests of students learning te reo Māori in mainstream settings. 101 Kiwi Kidsongs

The new Kiwi Kidsongs DVD-ROM will collect 101 MP3s of teachers’ and students’ favourite kidsongs together with PDFs of teachers’ notes, scores, and lyric sheets. Teachers will be able to search for songs to suit their programme by genre, composer, or culture. Students and teachers, years 1–8.

Kei Tua o te Pae: Assessment for Learning: Early Childhood Exemplars: Books 10–19

Kei Tua o te Pae offers authentic examples of assessment practice and learning in early childhood settings, in relation to Te Whāriki.
