Tāiki E! is a take-home magazine for 7- to 10-year-old speakers of te reo Māori. There are two topics in this issue: South Auckland and community and whānau. Kete Kīwei travels to Manurewa to support a tamariki day between Te Kura o Noera and Te Hiringa (Finlayson Park School). Tamariki can read about how to prepare fruit smoothies and make ngutu parerā with harakeke.
Distribution
In term 4, copies of this resource are being distributed to schools with primary classes at immersion levels 1–2, with numbers based on the level of immersion. Schools wishing to receive additional copies free on request should contact Huia Te Manu Tuku Kōrero.
