Ngā Tauaromahi Marautanga o Aotearoa: Hangarau
Ngā Tauaromahi Marautanga o Aotearoa provide annotated examples of authentic student work from years 1 to 10. They will help to answer the questions 'What does this work show about this student's learning?' and 'What is this student's next learning step?'
The hangarau set includes:
- Ngā Ihirangi (contents)
- Mā te Pouako (the teachers' notes)
- He Māherehere (a chart mapping the tauaromahi in relation to ngā wheako marautanga (the curriculum strands) and ngā kōeke marautanga (the curriculum levels)
- He Tāhū (a table setting out indicators of student progress at taumata marautanga 1–5)
- Ngā Tauaromahi (the exemplars).
In parallel with the print materials, TKI is preparing Ngā Tauaromahi Marautanga o Aotearoa for publication online in the assessment area.
Schools were sent tauaromahi for te reo (nama take 30705) and pāngarau (nama take 30706) in late 2004, together with a folder (nama take 30704) to hold these. The previous set of tauaromahi, pūtaiao (nama take 30707), was described on page 11 of the June Resource Link. Further tauaromahi are being developed for tikanga ā iwi, ngā toi, and hauora and will be published in 2006.
