Whakawhiti: books 17–20
The Whakawhiti series, with its content organised into short chapters to prepare students for reading texts at increasing levels of difficulty, introduces them to high-interest reading. Illustrations give added support.

Distribution
One to five copies of each of these resources were distributed in July to schools and kura with students in years 5–8 (immersion levels 1–3). Schools with students in years 9–10 received one reference copy. Schools and kura may request a class set of each book through Customer Services at Learning Media.
