For this activity students will need a piece of card (A4 size) and a split
pin.
Students are provided with the
It's a Matter of Luck Instruction Sheet
which enables them to create their own
spinner based on the population distribution, ie. 75% of the world's
population is in the developing world and 25% in the developed world.
Once
they have completed their spinner they complete
an exercise which requires them to create their
own set of statistics based on the outcome of spinning their spinner 20
times.
Using this data they will work out the likelihood of being born in
the developed or developing part of the world.
