After watching the film The Killing Fields in class, complete one of the
following activities.
- Make a mini book telling Dith Pran's story. How did the Khmer Rouge and Pol
Pot's government affect his life?
- "What happens next?" Use your imagination to describe what might have
happened next in Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot (at least one page).
- Interview Dith Pran. Describe how he was affected by the actions of the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot.
What were his feelings?
- Make up a coded message written by Dith Pran to Sydney while he is in
captivity about his experiences and how they affected his life.
