Last week I went with my little sister to hire a video. The shop had a sign up "Free Children's Video with any other video chosen". I chose a sports video and my sister chose a kids' tape. But when we came to pay for it they made me pay for my video and her video. They said my video was not full price at $5 a hire and that the offer of a free kids' video was only on a full price video. What could I have done? What can I do now?

I bought a chair from this shop. We used it for about a month then it broke. The welding attached to one of the supports came away from the frame. The shopkeeper says it's my fault because we must have swung on it. We didn't. We just used it as a chair. They say they're not responsible and won't do anything about it. What can I do?

I bought a ticket to see an overseas band playing at Athletic Park. The weather was really bad and the concert was postponed to another night. I could not go to the concert when it was rescheduled. I want my money back but the place where I bought the tickets says their policy is 'no refunds'. What can I do?

I needed to get my bike fixed. The man said it would cost $65 but when I went to get it he gave me a bill for $129.70. I don't have the money. What can I do?

I bought this fancy shirt at a sale. The ticket said the price was $49 reduced from $70. But the next day I went to another branch of the same shop and they had all those shirts at $49 as the normal price. It wasn't a sale price at all. What can I do?

I was sent out to buy a whole lot of specials at the supermarket. When I got home I found the special price for bananas was $1.99 a kilo but I had been charged $2.35 for a kilo of bananas. What can I do?

I bought a new top. It was sold as a Lacoste top made in France but I have found a label in it saying 'Made in Taiwan'. What can I do?

I bought my electric guitar in my local music shop but it is faulty. The shopkeeper agrees it's faulty but he says he is not responsible. He says I have to deal with the manufacturer in Japan. Do I?

I bought a pair of shoes but the strap broke after two weeks. I took them back to the shop but they said they had to send them back to the manufacturer. I've waited three months and now the shop says they were faulty and I can have a credit note. I don't want a credit note. I want my money back because I've already had to buy another pair of shoes. The shop has a 'No Refund' sign and will only give me a credit. What can I do?
