  1. Prepare copies of the picture of the Valley of the Kings with a light pencil grid dividing the image into four or six squares.
  2. Prepare blank grids approximately the same size and with the same number of grids as the picture.
  3. Students work in pairs. One student has a copy of the picture, the other a copy of the blank grid.
  4. Students sit back to back.
  5. The student with the picture describes in detail, what is in each square of the image to their partner, who attempts to draw it from the description.
  6. When they have completed the description and the drawing the students compare the two images and prepare a caption identifying three important features of the place.
