- Prepare copies of the picture of the
Valley of the Kings with a light pencil grid dividing the image into four or six squares.
- Prepare blank grids approximately the same size and with the same number of grids as the picture.
- Students work in pairs. One student has a copy of the picture, the other a copy of the blank grid.
- Students sit back to back.
- The student with the picture describes in detail, what is in each square of the image to their partner, who attempts to draw it from the description.
- When they have completed the description and the drawing the students compare the two images and prepare a caption identifying three important features of the place.
