Write in the centre of the page, "Why tourists visit Egypt". As a class or individually see how many ideas you can come up with as to why people visit Egypt. Write the answers around the key concept. (Alternative: do an attribute web, Egypt's attributes)

Examples may include:

  • To experience a different culture, religion, way of life
  • To sail down the Nile River
  • To see the Great Pyramids
  • To soak up the History of Egypt
  • To see the Sphinx
  • To go inside tombs in the Valley of the Kings
  • To see treasures of Egypt in the Cairo museum, such as real mummies
  • To experience a completely different climate and environment to New Zealand.
